Episode #1 Mental Health Research for Cancer Patients
In this episode, YOU WILL BE ENCOURAGED. Join us as we talk about survival, Life with Cancer and the mental health impacts that can come with a cancer diagnosis.
We are joined by Michelle Ferretti, who shares the research and training, specifically regarding integrative oncology and Life with Cancer’s unique Integrative Psycho-Oncology Program (IPOP), a four-program curriculum designed to build emotional coping skills utilizing cognitive, mindfulness-based, and contemplative perspectives.
Michelle leads a multi-institution research team exploring the efficacy and cultural relevance of the first program of the IPOP curriculum and is a co-investigator on a research team studying measurement of and interventions for brain fog, or cancer-related cognitive impairment (CRCI).
In this episode, you’ll learn about Psycho-Oncology. You may be living with cancer, but there is support for you mentally and emotionally as you move through. Take a deep breath, release, grab a notepad and some tea, let’s get empowered.
